  1. I understand that there are many pine trees in Pine Hill, so a drone flying overhead would only see the tops of trees, but that's not how maps work. Cartographers don't draw the tops of trees; they draw what is under the trees. I would like the map to be improved so that it maps the ground underneath the pine trees. The current version of the Pine Hills map isn't serving the function of a map. If you want to keep the pine tree aesthetic, it could start off as a map showing the top of pine trees and switch to showing what's under them after that area of the map has been explored. On a related note, when I'm inside an anthill, it would be much more useful to see a map of the tunnels that make up the anthill than to see the surface features, which don't help me figure out where I need to go underground. I've played other games that switch to a localized map for each area.
  2. I built a base around the oak tree, so I spend a lot of time harvesting grass and stems at the base of the tree. I'm having problems with enemies spawning inside the roots of the tree. I've noticed this in particular in roots near the trash can and on the north side of the tree. Also, I was next to the tree when "Somebody" attacked, and the spawn point for the enemies appeared to be inside the trunk of the tree, where they join with the roots. When enemies are inside the tree, they can still damage me and my buggy, but my weapons bounce off the tree instead of damaging enemies.
  3. The oak and the house had the same thing in 1. I built a very long ramp to the top of the house as a possible base, but when I tried to stand on the roof, I fell through it. There are mushrooms part way up the oak in 2, which suggests the developers think we might build up there. (And I did). The other problem with the oak tree is that enemies get stuck inside the roots. They can attack me from in there, but my weapons bounce off the tree.
  4. I agree with points 2 and 3. Sometimes, my buggy gets in the way when I'm busting things. It would be more convenient if the buggy could chomp everything I have the ability to bust. Another possibility would be allowing us to use the omnitool on tier 2+ resources while mounted. When I'm on my buggy and in front of a pine needle bunch, a message telling me to upgrade my tool pops up; once I get off the buggy, the system realizes I already have a level 2 ax and lets me chop it.
