    I'm also having the same issue, but the next mission into the statue is available. I'm wondering if I should go on and try to do it.

    I built stairways to bee #1 and got about 250cm above ground and was able to kill it. I found bee #2 about 1 inch directly south of the camera, flying high, but not too high that I could shoot it with an arrow. Beat that second bee, and the mission completed.
