Bows shred these guys. The tail is a weakpoint for bows and a perfect charged shot does fat dmg and staggers.

just put the meat in storage. if it spoils, now you have fertalizer. im sure the fridge will be making a return in a later patch as well. might be a little strong in the survival aspect if you could stack good meals.
