Avowed won't Launch

I am also having this same problem except that it appeared to work when I used -dx11 in loading options...and then it didn't...after character creation when loading after attack at sea, got error message of ue-alabama failure? Would really like to play in early access since I played an extra $20 to do so...more fool me, I guess.
