My son/friend was hosting a game, we had already played like 10 hours on that save. When I load into the multiplayer list of join online game, it does not show him/the world on the "games hosted by friends- available games" list. I can see other friends, whom I have not played with, but not him in the save we played and he made me a cohost of. I was able to find a somewhat "go around" but choosing "host online game" and then "continue" to chose that saved world since I had a save. But then started getting an error saying that the world my not exist anymore or may have been deleted...it was not. I sort of got around that by going to the manage files option in the xbox app and using the verify/repair option which allowed me to join as the host when he isn't on. But I still don't know if we will be able to play together. As of last night we were in the same world briefly but we had both joined as host and could not see each others characters. I created a support ticket but have not heard anything as of yet.

We have experienced the same issue, except I was/am not the original host. My son created the world. (He lives in a different state btw, so not on the same ip or anything.) We played the first night for hours. We all (there were 3 of us playing) went to bed and then yesterday when I got home and tried to join his multiplayer save (he was in game) I couldn't even see it on the list to join. He quit the game and noticed he had an update/hotfix so he did that. Then when I tried to get on I started getting this same error. I even tired to host it myself since he had made me a host also for that world, and I got the same error message. I was able to do the verify and repair option and it finally let me play an earlier save of that world but I still can not join him while he is in the game. I sent in a support ticket but haven't heard anything as yet. I realize it is per-release but man this is annoying.

So, haven't played Grounded in a while. My son and I were trying to play together today and we are running into the same issue. I'm on xbox app for PC and he is on Steam. He started a host game and I couldn't see it to join. We closed and restarted our games, still the same issue. So I started a host game, he couldn't see it on the join game list. What's the deal??
