    I have been playing this game for a long time and I love it. However once you get past NG+1 it seems the game is not balanced at all. In NG+2 I was able to defeat the Broodmother 6 times felt pretty good about that. But once I tried fighting the Mantis even on Mild difficulty it was impossible. Without being able to beat the mantis there is no option to continue. The Mild difficulty is there for a reason if people can't play on higher difficulty then we have an option to fall back on. But that apparently it not an option. So as much as I hate to do it I will stop playing until this issue, if ever is addressed. I know I can't be the only one who feels this way.
