  1. I've had the same issue twice. This happened about a week ago for my friend and I. When you try to reload boss fights the save file corrupts. It turns white and entirely starts a new game. A few days ago we looked up this issue trying to see if anyone else had information and we just took it as a loss and made all our progess back. But going to fight yet another boss, it seems that if you die during the boss fight (even if you respawn after) the save file corrupts the second you leave the game. Aka, shut down that world and try and reload a previous save. The auto-save of the death I feel like is cauing the issue. This is the second time dying during a boss fight had corrupted our 200+ day world, 130+ hours. I try and make backup worlds to save our progress but when you're going to fight a boss you think saving would be enough. I am sorry to hear this is happening to other people, I've contacted support and I'll post again here when I get an update. PS. The image below is what the save file will look like after the boss fight when you try and reload after the game has magially created a new world and restarted you. This is the old save file we tried reloading after our first attempt at the infected broodmother. This first happened with the mantis for us, and is the second time now. I have concluded that if you die during the boss fight and try and reload to before when you were prepared the save file DOES corrupt and all of the backup save files DISAPPEAR.
