Multiplayer hosting issue

Me and my girlfriend are having the same issue today. We are both playing through the Xbox app for Windows. Other games like Deep Rock Galactic and Minecraft are working properly, but Grounded won't let us enter multiplayer game mode. "There was an issue hosting a multiplayer game. Check your connection and try again." I see people have been posting about this issue since 2021, how is this not fixed yet??
