I get the same thing as you, but mines a black screen instead of white.

what cause my problem was me being on the zipline on a hosted world and me getting disconnected while on the zipline. What happened after I tried to reconnect tho was that I can no longer use my character, I can not give up, can not recover backpack and I can't switch weapons, I used UUU to use commands and when I toggled camera I see that I'm below the world and inside this black circle but my character doesn't exist in the world because I can't respawn. Is there anyway to resolve this because I do not have any backup saves.

same thing happened to me, I was ziplining and my game disconnected and when I rejoined I was surrounded in darkness and I can see my stats but they do not change so, I don't starve or get thirsty world still goes around because I hear creatures. I used UUU and used "toggledebugcamera" and it looks like I'm inside of a black circle where you can not see through so I can't see inside or out, I can not give up either. seems like the problem happens when you crash or get disconnected when ziplining.
