Game crashes on loading,

I've been having the same problem since 1.0 dropped - on trying to loaf the game, I get "fatal error" and ctd. The newest patches haven't helped -

Tried again just now to run the game, and I'm still getting "fatal error!" and ctd. I'm really close to just uninstalling this stupid game!! -
haven't been able to play since 1.0 dropped, because trying to load the game gets me "fatal error" then a ctd. We tried updating all drivers, and updating all DirectX versions, but nothing. I waited til now to report because other ppl - a LOT of ppl - had already reported it. But after downloading the huge patch from this morning, I STILL get ctd. Please fix this!!
