Dear Obsidian,
Spectacular is an understatement when considering the look of your new
installment to the Fallout series. I have been a fan of Fallout since it's early
days, and I feel like you are doing the series proud.
There are a few things that I have always wanted to see in a Fallout game
though. One of which is the ability to buy and build houses, buildings, or even
towns. There tends to be lots of wasteland in Fallout, and once all enemies in
an area are neutralized and the area is safe, with enough resources and caps you
should be able to buy a plot of land, and later build on that plot.
This brings me to another idea that may call for a little tweaking in the
AI. For those characters who aren't very significant to the main story, they
should be able to communicate to other AI characters, for instance: Tom and
Angie started talking, and Tom impregnated Angie, so they're having a shotgun
wedding so that their son won't be a bastard. Maybe not this complex right off
the bat, but just a thought. The ability to have a family should be included
too, and unlike Fable, aging and behavior among family members should have more
realism, something I've seen a lot of in Fallout.
If someone ever wants to move, or if there is anyone ever looking for
opportunity, they can move into a town or house you built or bought. This way,
the ideas I've suggested can intertwine, and one idea won't stand alone, but
will mesh with others.
Seeing Fallout: New Vegas makes me envious that you guys get to work on
such a great looking game. Since that is beyond my reach, I just thought I'd do
the next best thing and give suggestions.
With all due respect,
Bellamy B. and Alan O
