CantCraft

Greetings all, First time player, so maybe I just don't know how it's supposed to be but I see no recipes at all in my craft or enchant menu, both are just completely blank. Not even the one I was supposed to get from the cook shows up. I read on another thread that you're supposed to just start with the recipes so I got the impression something went wrong for me. Is this a bug? If so is there a fix? Thanks in advance
