    I'm facing the same issue -- running an R9 Fury 4GB GPU -- The only way I'm able to get past the screen: forcibly lower the resolution scaling to 25% through the config file in AppData (the game's Settings menu glitches when trying to apply low settings) slowly walk backwards, not facing any bit of sunlight whatsoever coming from the outside (I'm not kidding, it actually worked) Once I'm out about 20 to 25ft from the tunnel, I am free to do whatever I want -- except actually see, because the resolution is scaled back so bad, you'd think you were playing an early 3D DOS game. Hopefully they release an update soon because I've been itching to play the game with friends.
