Apparently on reddit, this occurs when you have too many saves. I would delete all the old saves and keep the a few to see which load up correctly. Don’t delete any recent saves but any of the saves from when the game first came out. Im doing this as we speak.

I logged in today to notice that all my progress has been reset, my base is gone, the mystery machine quest has reset, but all my backpack inventory is still there. I dont even understand how this happened and how this isnt top priority. Pre-release or not, peoples time is precious, and when it is wasted by stupid bugs like this, it makes people not even want to play anymore. I have multiple saves and they all seem to have reset.
