    You seem to forget here that Obsidian under the name of Obsidian may have only published one game on Xbox or whatever, but they are basically the guys from Black Isle, who made Planeshift:Torment and had their hands in the creation of the IWD and BG series (though I do not know exactly to what extent). They founded Obsidian as a new studio since Black Isle belonged to Interplay and they shut it down some time ago.
