There are many elements similar to Mass Effect. Colonization, selection of a crew with loyalty missions, even the dates and a certain silence. However, when I finished TOW, my immediate, visceral reaction was “Thank goodness I’m done. Never again!” Why? My biggest issue was the small size of fonts in the endless amount of junk we had to read. Never before have I physically gotten tired of playing a video game. I finally had to keep zooming in with my TV remote to read stuff, most of which turned out to be useless and boring . An English teacher friend of mine once wisely said “a mediocre story tells; a great story shows.” This was a mediocre story. I went back and replayed Mass Effect 1 and it was so great! I cared about the characters, it was challenging, it wasFUN,!!! TOW was addictive but not fun. So now I’m playing Mass Effect 2 and loving it. I probably won’t replay TOW.

Font size MUST be incresed. Also make it easier to read the pop up signs such as when time dilation takes place as well as increase the length of time it stays on the screen I have increased it in the PS4 settings and The Outer Worlds settings but it still it incredibly difficult to read. I happened upon the logs which list the text of all the things you have to read....it is staggering how much text there is in this game. No wonder I get so tired of reading it. You must have written all this text on a very high definition Apple computer. Most of us don’t have that. PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise you ruin a great game thank you.

The font size for all text needs to be double what it is now. I’ve been playing on a PS4. I have excellent vision, 20 x 15. However I find the small font size slows down the gameplay. It also tires my eyes. I’ve started using the zoom feature on my Sony flatscreen tv but that has gotten old quickly. Please allow an option to enable the user to increase the font size without cutting out parts of the video. GameStop suggested I might like this after Mass Effect and they were right. However it does not have a character with whom the player can identify or care about. Nor does it have secondary characters like Garris, Liara, etc that make the Mass Effect games so much fun. Perhaps you could fix that. Until a true Mass Effect 4 comes along, I’ll continue to play and enjoy The Outer Worlds. Thank you.
