  1. All joking in the title description aside, I was wondering if anybody read anything about non-lethal takedowns being possible in a preview I may have missed? I can think of several situations where it would be preferable to render someone unconscious rather than killing them. Plus, I would imagine that there are those of us who have a problem with killing certain people (no women or civilians, for example) and would rather just knock them unconscious for the duration of your mission. Knocking people out in hand-to-hand combat seems very logical, but I've been gaming long enough to discover that "video game logic" can be a completely different animal from what you would expect in real life. So, I would hope the developers code in a way to knock people out in hand-to-hand, of course, rather than just making every blow lethal and leaving it at that. I would also wonder if knocking people out by pistol whipping them or clobbering them with the butt of a rifle would also be possible as well. In addition to melee takedowns, I wonder if there are ways to render someone unconscious at range as well - like, say, a tranquilizer gun?
  2. I was wondering if weapon and armor concealability was going to be any kind of significant factor in this game. While I do realize, from looking at some of the screenshots, that there are going to be plenty of situations where you go in geared up like a super-soldier decked out in thick armor with a big honkin' assault rifle strapped to your back, I was wondering if there would be other situations that favor a more subtle approach even if you're a combat-oriented spy. For example, I read in a preview article about a certain scene where you're taking a plane trip somewhere and you strike up a conversation with a passenger sitting next to you. Obviously, you can't just embark on a passenger airliner with obvious armor and an assault rifle. Situations like that would make carrying a pistol or training in hand-to-hand more favorable, as well as wearing an "undercover" protective vest under your shirt if that is (hopefully) possible in the game. I also thought I read that NPCs will react to you differently depending on how you're dressed. You might be treated differently depending on whether you are in regular "street clothes", high-class suits, or decked out in a armored vest with helmet. From that, I'm extrapolating that carrying obvious weapons might play a role as well. If you've got a pistol discretely tucked away into a concealed holster underneath a leather jacket, you might be able to sweet-talk somebody more convincingly than if you had an assault rifle strapped to your back and an SMG strapped to your chest. Conversely, if your goal is to intimidate someone then that obvious rifle and SMG would actually state your case more prominantly. Anyhow, this is just more food for thought and something we all can discuss. Maybe a developer could drop by and give us a nice juicey tidbit of info?
