    The entire game goes dark when it is in the foreground

    Same problem here I think. Not sure how to make it go in the background... but as soon as I start a new game... I see the recap of the events of PoE 1, then it says something like "And so you awake to a sleepless world..." and the screen is just black, but I can see the cursor. I hit escape, and I see a very faint PoE2 Deadfire logo, but no actual menu. I have tried multiple resolutions, but no success. Extremely frustrating, especially when it has been out for so long.
