Forgot to mention that I tried that too....sorry. I took the kotor 1 out of SWKotOR and put in SWKotOR2 and still no go. Even if I disable sound AND or movies it still crashes! AHHH I am going insane!

I am trying to play Knights of the Old Republic II on my new PC. My PC is a Dell Precision 670 with a Sapphire Radeon HD 4650 in it. when I click on "Game" on the launcher, its starts to load with the CD icon spinning then stops and brings up that stupid Microsoft Error report. I am running Windows XP Service Pack 3 on a Intel Xeon Irwindale processor. I have patched it to the latest and there is still no go. I have even tried compatibility mode. I am confused and have no clue what to do now. Kotor 1 works just fine....Kotor 2 is failing on me though....any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had this exact same problem only to fix it I got a new video card. It had worked on my old ATI Radeon 9800 but it didn't like it after a while...so i upgraded to a X1300 and it worked...I suggest a new VC. Also try getting a better motherboard and/or CPU. Yeah, I've tried before too. When you try to put your new robe on with the k2 mdl's and mdx's your game will crash instantly. Like he said...Boom...

i have a problem too, i go get the message from visquis and he says to come and when atton and my party members are all done talking to me i don't get "journal entry added" and when i walk in as mira (ls)and or(ds) it doesn't show visquis talking to hanharr the first time when i walk in as mira. oh yeah i did update it from lucasarts and the one that came with the game if you have a patch or a solution PLEASE HELP! i want to beat kotor2 again for pc! I had a similar problem when I used some mods. When Mira entered the bar, I didn't get the cut scene and when she got to Visquis's area the door wouldn't unlock. I emptied my override, went back to a slightly earlier save, replayed and everything was OK. Refilled the override and continued on. it worked I will thank you for this information!
