  1. No one is forcing you to play with unkown people. If you have friends playing to game too you can play with them and if you really insist you can even play the game yourself(with henchman if needed and avaible). Amen
  2. Played Guild Wars and WoW. Liked the first one but stopped after my friends left to play WoW, which i tried but didn't get in to. Why am I saying this, because their both MMORPGs but totally different. The concept is the same but the way they do it is different. Guild wars has cinematics and a story in it. In WoW i couldn't discover a story nor was there anything to make up for it. My second point is GW doesn't have a monthly fee and so it shows you can do without it. Mayby it's not as profitable as with mothly fee but the servers are still up and running. So If KOTOR3 is a MMO I will wait and see, mayby try it out for a month, And only after that i will make my opion wheter it's crap or good.
  3. Isn't that what we're telling for years now We have to have hope that KOTOR3 is coming and that it's a good game
  4. Off topic: Can't we give jediphile and random n00b their own threat? On topic: of course it isn't updated because if they would it would mean an confirmation and they'll gona do that big time not just by updating a site. So yes still no news and we're still living between hope and fear
  5. Just read that LA is searching for mmo-testers So more confirmation that an MMO is coming What do you say who wants to infiltrate
  6. Not only are you not quite addressing my point, you are also relying increasingly on semantic minutiae to build your arguments - you are effectively grasping at straws. Yes, to your shock and dismay, opinions can very well be wrong - scientific theories that lack formal proof are often confined to the realm of opinion, and those opinions are often proven wrong when proof is provided that makes theory into law, or refutes it altogether. That is why your Galileo analogy is not just "extreme", it also works against what you said. It was *proven* that those whose "opinion" was contrary to Galileo's were simply wrong. Sure, you are entitled to thinking that the Sun revolves around Earth... but you are wrong (and irrational). Off topic: actually Galileo was also wrong, well partially. He said the sun was the centre of the universe which is wrong, we're actually on the edge of the universe not in the centre.
  7. If they want to target the fans who where dissappionted in Galaxies why would they choose the KOTOR setting? Wouldn't it make more sense to make that game in the era between 3 and 4? I mean the force unleashed is coming there's a serie coming of that era som it seems to me they want to expand that era. Why woukld they mess up the KOTOR serie when they can use that era? Please say you all agree and revive my hope for KOTOR3
  8. And this year they have some really good games like: Spore Mirror's Edge Battlefield bad Company just to name a few So mayby EA is on the good way back
  9. What would that have to do with anything? Really you have no idea what they have in store but still you sit here and critize. Its hilarious you think people care about your ramblings of how its going to be horrible. Bioware is an amazing company funded by EA they will deliver. Just wait and see SWG, like all MMOs, sucks. Yes, I know that Bioware is a great developer, they're one of my favorites, probably my actual favorite. I just hold no like/respect for the MMO genre, and I don't think that will change. And since when has EA been good at anything except sports games? I will agree that most MMORPG's suck. However, MMOFPS is quite different, especially when that MMOFPS is PlanetSide. But still. I want teh Kotor 3 SINGLEPLAYER! Wait let me get this striaght You want to throw the rpg overboard and make it a fps? Even if it's an MMO that is even worse than an MMORPG. KOTOR is a RPG to the bone and if they change that it's even worse than a MMORPG
  10. So many questions when will the anwser come and i mean the anwser like: yes, there is an KOTOR-MMO coming but it won't replace KOTOR III Oke this is my dream comment but one can never lose hope
  11. The was a screaming of millions of voices, and then everything went silent. I fear something terrible has happend obi-wan is very wise indeed
  12. This is possible bucause if LA wanted to use the KOTOR fanbase they would have bought the name KOTOR-online instead of just Old Republic. Conclusion we still live with hope and fear. Everybody who's darksider give in to fear all the good guys keep hope
  13. I certainly agree with you, for one. Yup, pretty much. Let's just hope the EA dude is on LSD and hallucinating . The CEO of EA high would explain all those crapy games they brought out last years But still no new
  14. What i meant was that LA doesn't want people to think about an KOTOR game now tey're about to release TFU. because if this comes in the media as confirmed everybody is going to talk about it and that would differt attention from TFU. And with less attention there will be less salles, thus less profit for LA. Same for Bioware with Dragonage, although it isn't coming out as soon as TFU. And don't forget most people who play MMORPG also like RPGs because most people started with them, and vice versa. And I think a lot of Star wars fans are keeping their eyes out for KOTOR, at least the fans who game And doesn't EA have better things to do than hyping KOTOR right now like making Spore a succes, although they won't need to put a lot of effort in it. And why in a one-on-one conversation while they had a big pressconfrence just before that. If they want to hype it than make it a big announcement and steal the show on E3.
  15. Kind of strange saying it to one guy. I mean if they want to great a hype they would say it to multipule people, much more reliable and more convinving than saying it to one guy. On the other hand if LA is really pissed about it they can say that they didn't mean it like that and that the single reporter got it wrong. But the 'yes' is hard to misinturpert So I don't know I want to believe it but KOTOR3 is still coming but im just not sure EDIT: Now i just think of it this would not only be bad for the hyping around TFU but also for Bioware with Dragonage. On the E3 Bioware was hyping Dargonage very much. Big sell for Bioware means big sell for EA. So why would Ea want to distract attention from Dragonage which is a long awaited game from Bioware for some people to a KOTOR-MMO. Wouldn't it be smarter to wait until Dragonage was selling and they made some money on it?
  16. Did anyone check the bioware site? under games in development there's an MMO but also the LA/bioware thing. Why would they place bith in there if they would be the same that wouldn't be very smart to show your fans who are now expecting two games.
  17. If you put it like that with more force-users I have a better idea. You start as a jedi during the mandolorian wars you can choose wheter you can stay with the jedi and wait or hoin revan in the war. This is the point were you choose a faction. Then after lets say lvl 10 you move on to the jedi civil war and now there's aslo a lot of room for PvP.
  18. But anwsering those questions in an MMO are different than an rpg. But how different depents on what kind of MMO they will bring out. Like I said before a WoW like game isn't going to work with all those messages. But if they make cut-scenes in it it might work. But still i would prefer an rpg because the actions you have with the npc's are much deeper. You can't have a great dialouge in an MMO because this is to difficult to make in an MMO. And since of of the good things of the KOTOR games was interaction with the npc's I can't see them do it in a MMO.
  19. The questions that weren't anwserd by KOTOR2 or made by KOTOR2. You know like who are the true sith were did Revan go etc. And if this is a KOTOR MMO you should play as a jedi because the KNIGHTS in the title.
  20. Same idea here just wait until LA says something. And bringing out an KOTOR MMO wouldn't mean that there's no KOTOR3 coming. If you think about the KOTOR-timeline the best time to place an MMO is the Mandolorian Wars. If they do this then we'll still need KOTOR3 to anwser our questions. and in your link Xard i don't really understand this CEO. He says China is a growing market and that they want to focus on Asia. So they bring out Warhammer and KOTOR online Aren't those franchises mostly popular in the West and not in Asia. So again i don't understand the timing and reasons behind it.
  21. Like i said when i edited my post.. It just weird timing and I just don't trust it. I mean IGN didn't do the interview itself so they used an source on the internet most likely. This is the same as we do and so it means that if that source is wrong so is IGN and so are we. The conclusion is that LA needs to confirm it before it's official for me.
  22. Still no LA and didn't you notice the questionmark behind it? And beside it's a weird timing for this news to come out. i mean LA wouldn't want it if it's true because it would draw attantion from the upcoming release of TFU. Shouldn't this be approved by LA and i can't imaging they would do it at this very moment
  23. Ok thats just great but back on topic I would like to say that i woul prefer a KOTOR-rpg becasue indeed it's just more epic than an mmo and Jediphile your point 5 isn't very good because this would mean that KOTOR3 is an action/hack ans slash game because when did you ever heard of an RPG multiplayer I wouldn't work because the core of an rpg is leveling on yourself how can you do this online in a multiplayer. Sure they could mean that there's a co-op function but to call it an online mode it's a little far fechted for me. Not that i give up hope for kotor 2 being an rpg, because your right we're not certain it's true until LA or Bioware confirm it and because Bioware is EA i would go for LA.
  24. Well if they make a good mmo from it it don't mind. Don't kill me just yet please, i played 2 mmo's they both had a totally different aproach of the story telling. First i played guild wars because it was free and they told the story through cut-scenes which took part in missions, the plus of this is that you don't have to be level 80 and find 20 people to play with you could do it with two if you were good so it's much closer to an rpg than the second i played which was WoW. i really hate the story telling of WoW because you're doing the same over and over again you take a mission and you finish it without any extra's for the story except messages which are a pain in the a** to read So if they take the more rpg style of cut-scenes i may like it but please bioware don't come up with WoW in the star wars univers and make something original.
