  1. Thanks - I appreciate it. I really like the game and it's really all very new to me. Used to turn based RPGs or Western style open world games but I really like this one. I like the story and such.
  2. I'm playing on the "New to CRPG" difficulty and so far it's fun. I'm level 3 and I made a rogue with dual sabers. I have Aloth, Eder, that weird priest and I JUST got that chanter in my party. Questions - 1 How often should I be leveling up my equipment? Should I be buying new stuff every level? 2 So my rogue with use sabers and maybe later I'll get dual pistols for range? Eder seems like a tank so I'll just do sword and board but what about my 3 ranged people? Staves? Rods? Wands? No idea. Also what armor should I give people? The game doesn't really explain how to build a character. 3 Healing... I know there is the health bar and then the red in the portraits. Are there spells that heal HP or is that only at Inns and campfires? 4 Any other tips? I have never played a CRPG before and I like this but I like to know im not doing anything stupid. I got a quest to kill Roderick but I think I should wait on that. I'm going to the fortress thing now. (Where the chanter is).
  3. Ok cool. Now then, next thing... What is a more optimal set up for rogue then? I may still do what I'm doing, but what are some ideas? Also, note that I am only playing with no multi class, because the game warned me that if I am new, not to go that route.
  4. I want to love the game and so far ( maybe an hour in..) I am intrigued. But.. I get don't get combat. Ok, like maybe I can't do what I'm trying to do. I made a Moon God like Assassination Rogue. (This may not be ideal, but because I'm new to CRPGs... I have the difficultly toned down so I figured it would be OK). Anywho, I have a dagger in my main hand a pistol in my off hand. I just thought that would be fun. 1 - IS that remotely viable? 2 - Why do I only attack with my pistol? How do I run up and attack with a daggeR? 3 - I can use most skills with a pistol too, right? 4- How do I stealth attack? I tried it and I shot with a pistol but I'm not sure it worked?
  5. I didn't really play the first one because I had a little bit of a hard time getting into it. However, I will admit that this one looks like it would be more enjoyable ( I like the pirate like theme ). Also is this fully voice acted? I think I may pull the trigger and try this one, and hopefully do not regret it.
  6. Ok... I can start with that then. Thank you for the advice. It seems like a great game ( I have it on Xbox One X ) so I'm hoping I really can get into it this time around.
  7. I don't know about too hard, but I just feel it's a lot of information. I assume building your character well is important. I don't know what's best for what really for stats and classes. Yes it TELLS you, but in my experience that is more of a push to get you going rather than "That is always what you'll do".
  8. I always wanted to play a game like this, so I bought it on my Xbox One X while it was on sale. I've had it on PC before, but I was SO bad, I do not really think I'm good at it. Any suggestions for a rookie player? I plan to play my first run on the easiest difficultly. I would LOVE to make either a Cipher or a Hunter (Lion pet sounds fun) Cipher seems cool and I thought I read you can give them a pistol, which is kinda neat. Any tips to get me started? Anything to help push me a bit. The farthest I ever got was a bear cave.
