Had the same problem and your work around efficiently worked. Glad to still have my party and ability to continue. Still doesn't explain where the glitch came in the first place though.

In Desecrated Vault, for the mission into the mountain, after defeating the villain but not winning the game. I chose the option to recharge an item from my discard pile to my deck. The only item i had was orb of fire, but it wont let me drag, or select it, into my deck. the game lets me still examine cards but wont let me back out or progress. Effectively I am now stuck in this spot. I don't know how to fix or progress now.
