i think i know now how to fix it but i need to know why the patch always freezes at 96% please help as i really want to play this game.

hello, could anyone help me kotor 2 keeps crashing on load up, it shows the picture of nihilus in the middle with sion and visas on the left and right then goes to a black screen with the green mouse, i dont understand as i could run kotor 1 without a hitch.
