Looked in the pot where the gold coins were and could only find three gems. Is it hidden? Do I need to go into stealth mode to see it?

That's what I thought when I first did the castle then I ended up doing stuff like spending 5,000 on freeing the slaves and 6,000 on that amulet quest with the prostitute.

 

Nice to know that I can compensate by going on the Endless Paths. I'm just waiting for the right level to do it from beginning to end. My character is good aligned and helped the Crucible Knights so I won't be doing any assassinating on them.

I come from a Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 background. In those games money was never an issue even if I didn't max appraisal or looted everything I came across I could still be rich. In this game I had the mentality of throwing money at everything as a way to solve a problem and found myself sort of in a financial pickle.

 

I'm still in Act 2 and doing all the side quests that I can. I'm just wondering if I can compensate for my careless spending later on in the game or that I should have prepared myself better in the beginning.

Does it matter who I assign the quest to or will I get the same result with whoever I pick?

Got a message on the Skulls for Mother quest. Returned to the Stronghold and and assigned Aloth to. When I did it it said two hours before it expires and something about two turns.

 

I don't really understand how this works. Am I doing something wrong? How do I know if I actually did the quest or not?

It's not so much for me. It's for Aloth and Grieving Mother. The character I have is a Deflection based Fighter. I am looking for a way to crowd control large mobs while they are surrounding my Fighter but I also would like to know what spells are good on boss type enemies. I'm not really looking for magic damage as I read a thread on this forum that said something along the lines that nuking in this game was not as good as the one you'd see in a D&D game.

 

I also would like to know the value of charm spells. I discovered this ability at random when I was using Grieving Mother to charm the bears in the Old Queen and the New King quest.
