  1. I have done the sidequest where Lieutenant Grenn has you search for the escaped killers several times but only once do I remember finding them on Telos' surface. Unfortunately, I forgot what I did to make that happen, and I think it was more of a fluke that I got it at all. Does anyone here know how to make sure that they appear on the surface? Thanks in advance.

  2. As a person who has garnered much enjoyment from controlling characters who were on both sides of the proverbial coin, I wonder what path did you choose, why, and(if the case applies)why did you shun the other path? Did you walk the "gray" path, avoiding both extremes, and if so what side did your character ultimately choose to side with? Or did you do what I did, walk different paths in different games, and find your self enriched each time?

I play DS games primarily for the purpose of introspection. Everytime I play as a Sith Lord-to-be, I feel I learn a little about myself and why I choose not to do immoral acts in real life. It is a mostly safe, and somewhat thrilling, way to explore the dark side within me.

The reasons I play LS are probably more obvious. Save the galaxy, rebuild the Order, etc.

  3. If you're going to list the Baldur's Gate series, then you should remember that Black Isle also helped with the production of the games. :)

And Jade Empire is loosely based on East Asian mythology. Caucasian refers to people of European heritage.

  4. My funniest moment in the game happened on Dxun:

When my party and the Mandalorians were attacked by the Sith Assasins, my character used Force Confusion to make one of the Assasins fight his cohorts. Eventually there was just my character, my party members (who were both Jedi), a dozen or more Mandalorians, and the lone and Confused Assasin, who was just seconds away from doing the stupidest thing one could do. :)

  5. I found the easiest way to get his Thorium, if you are going DS, is to wait until after the militia vs. mercenaries battle. If you sided with Azkul, you will find Akkere already dead, no muss, no fuss.

  6. Agreed.

Because while I like the strong plot of K2, the Exile has to be about the worst told PC ever. You're constantly wondering about his backstory, but you're never told and has to learn it as his companions learn it, which is fairly poor storytelling for the character I'm supposed to identify with. It's next to impossible to identify with the Exile when you don't know what he experienced on Malachor, don't know why he chose Exile, don't know his association with Bao-Dur when he suddenly turns up, etc. etc. etc...

So I have to choose Revan.

Why would the Exile ask about his/her backstory if he/she already knows it? Personally I like that you are not told to much about the character because I like to make it up myself.

The Exile comes across as a stronger person than Revan, imo, and not because of the whole level thing. He/she survived a horrific event that caused other Jedi to die or fall to the Dark Side. He/she came back to the Council when others were flocking to the rebuilt Sith. And he/she survived ten years severed from the Force in a galaxy at war or on the brink of ruin. Whatever you say about Revan, the Exile survived worse, and you have to respect that.

P.S. The Exile also sounds much cooler than Revan. :)

  7. its not to hard putting in a 3rd character, anyways it not our job its LA, and teh game developers decision. also we dont even know if kotor3 will be based on the period after the exile, it could be the mandalorian wars (which would be cool) or anything at all

I did not say it was hard, I said it was "ridiculous" to introduce a third main character near the end of a story that already has two solid primary characters. The third part of a trilogy(which the KotOR series in all likelihood is) should wrap up the story, and that is not accomplishable by the methods you are suggesting.

exactly, if you want to play revan or exile lets start off level 20 or 30, where we left off, that just removes the challenges, and i seriously dont want to set my revan + exile up again if there is an opportunity for revan and exile in the game, we should either see them as a NPC or party NPC, anyway how is revan and exile meant to talk? we dont know what they sound like they never talked (altough revan said "what" or "yes" when you scrolled through your characters)

if they are NPC party members, we should get them at the point where you are level 30 or so, then they pop in so its even.

Or you could have the enemies in the game be at higher levels as well.

  8. And how do you justify dropping a third main character toward the end of a series that already has two well-defined primary characters and a barrel full of secondary characters. It is bad enough that the villians keep changing. And you want there to be a third PC in this game? That is a big no-no as a story-telling device.

  9. >_<

I think that you should choose what happens to them based on your choices as a whole new character. For Revan you hear constantly of the Dark Jedi that has risen with many defectors to his/her cause to challenge the Sith. And you also hear whispers of a deadly warrior that appears to be able to kill all challengers before they can even ignite their lightsabers. This not only conceals LS or DS intentions on both Revan and Exile, but it gives them a story that backs their past doings. Revan can be hooded and junk and Exile could just be randomly generated I guess. Then whatever goes from there goes from there.

I think that it would be ridiculous to introduce a third main character at this point in the story. The ideal situation would be two seperate but ultimately converging storylines involving Revan and the Exile. However, considering the fact that in order to be a proper sequel the third should have multiple paths based on PC choices, the ideal might be too complex to come to fruition.
