OK so I restarted my PC and it launched, but now I just have a black screen that won't load

OK so I restarted my PC and it launched

When I try to launch the game through steam nothing happens. Steam acts as if it's running but nothing actually happens. I've tried verifying the files, anything else I can try?

I've tried with two different characters but the dialogue option doesn't appear
