Solutions

  1. another-account-for-debug's post in linux crash was marked as the answer   
    removing ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 solved the issue for me.
