  1. Don't you guys think, that if Revan or the Exile would have had to be of certain gender, they wouldn't have given us the choice?

After all, IMO, RPG is always a very personal experience.

True, except they forgot one thing: EU and EU fans. They want Revan in the EU. And, in order to be in the EU, one must have a hard-coded identity. They truely did not understand what they were getting into.

Exile is really just a backstory (and somewhat customizable at that)...they pretty much got it right with Exile. Revan, on the other hand, is an out-and-out pregen.

That made it extremely easy to tell the story and extremely easy to avoid a proper darkside path but it came at a significant cost: the gamers want to say goodbye to Revan while the EU fans want to learn more and more about him and want him to be the hero of K3. But because of the the non-feasibility of develeling him AGAIN, the only way to include him (as I see it) is to hard-code him.

I agree with Plano. Revan is now a EU character, and the Exile can't compare with him/her, and the only option (and the one I'd choose) is to define how and what he/she is.

  2. As Plano Skywalker has said, I think the better (and easier) would be that both Revan and the Exile where NPCs in K3. Besides, I'd prefer to play with a new character and not with an important character like Revan, who can be unplayable.

And for the original purpose of the topic, I always think about Revan as a DS male (but I could see him like LS), and the Exile... don't know, I really don't think it's as determinant as Revan's identity, so the Exile could be anything.

  3. If level 50 was going to be something that would be accepted as a goal to move towards, it would include feats and certain force powers that was progressive: based on leveling up past 30 and above, to even out the difficulties of fights against other enemies in the game as level increases. Character-specific feats would enhance it too.

Like the Epic feats on Neverwinter Nights? ^^?

  4. For me, K2's story started off poorly.  Peragus was boring as hell and seemed to drag on forever.  Telos was also a drag, with all the running back and fourth.  Then it got better once you got off Telos and explored the planets looking for the Jedi Masters.  The story started to go downhill with Korriban (boring and an exact replica of the K1 map), and after the encounter with the Masters on Dantooine the game really went downhill from there, ending with a boring planet and a bad conclusion.

I don't considere Peragus as a boring part. I prefer Peragus to Taris, which seems to me very very boring.

And when you begin K2, you are full of questions, there are a lot of things you don't understand and which you want to discover, and that part is better than the simple RPG story that K1 has at beginning. Nevertheless, K2 goes down and down after the meeting at Dantooine, instead of K1's plot improvement after the confrontation/revelation with Malak.

I was more addicted to K2's first part than I was to K1's, but actually I like K1 more. The second/final part of that game is insuperable.

  5. As I said in the other thread, I considere that K2's storyline was more envolving and interesting in the first and middle part of the game, until you solve the four planets' problems. K1 was the opposite, the storyline interested more after the revelation at the Leviathan.

And obviously, all the cut content and those things ruin the game, even more if we remember the glorious ending of K1.

  7. By the way, your avatar looks like how I thought Revan might appear to be.  :)

I found some Revan screenshots that were so cool. Someone made a lot of pics of Revan, Malak and Bastila in Taris and Tatooine (KOTOR I). ^^'

Well, I open all doors I find, I try to grab every mine and I finish every quest, and I only reach level 28 (maybe I'd arrive to 29). :S

Btw, level 28 is enough to play and finish the game.

  8. Hi, this is the first topic I create here...

Well, I've been reading these forums since a long time, and I know that some people has reached levels 30 and so far. The first time I finished the game it was with a LS female level 27, and second time with DS male 28. I've read comments about something related to the Hsiss, but I've never found any topic about that, and I would want to know how I could reach level 30 and more.

    Thanks ^^
