Hey crakkie,
I'm in the same boat as you. I've been stuck in IT for 8 years and want to get into game development. I started taking 3D animation course at Art Institute but couldn't finish( my employer wouldn't cover all the cost, so I had to bail).
Since I've got two kids I'm willing to work for less but not too low. I just want to get my foot in the door.
Thanks
Hello all,
I want to make a career switch from currently being a software developer to a game developer / game programmer. I last programmed in C++ 4 years ago and primarily work with Java. I have a minor in math but haven't used it since I graduated college in 1996 with a degree in chemistry(go figure). What hope do I have in cracking into this field before I get to old and crusty.
Thanks
