Games are fully patched. Specs: AMD Sempron 2800+ 512 DDR Ram Radeon 9600 Pro Windows XP SP2

Most times when I save, there is a long stutter in the game before it actually reaches the saving screen. Sometimes, saving works fine for a while but for no reason the stutter occurs and doesn't go away. -Both Quicksaves and regular saves do this -Happens in both KOTOR1 and KOTOR2 -I've tried defragmenting my hard drive -I run only essential programs and services on my computer -I've run Ad-Aware, Spyboy S&D and did a virus scan Any ideas? This is ultra annoying.

I think this forum might be more tech-savy than the GameFAQ ones. I have an AMD Sempron 2400 and a Radeon 9700 Pro, with 512 Ram. The problem I'm having is that the game runs at 20-30 FPS normally, but drips to 10 FPS or less in certain areas. I think smoke effects in particular seem to be causing the problem. I've disabled shadows and framebuffer effects already. Is there any way to get rid of the smoke effects?

The ones that all other files are in prior to installation. 7-zip and all other programs say they do not abide by 1998 specifications!? Also, can someone tell me which file (.cab file) all of the spoken dialogue is part of?

Kotor 1 ran fine on my ATI card. Anything different with Kotor 2?

I got this game yesterday. Should I wait to play it until the patch's out? What kind of bugs are there in the game???
