  1. Thanks. And what are the special powers for those classes?

ALL DS prestige classes get force crush. All LS prestige classes get force enlightenment (i think that is what it is called). It lets you cast all your buffing powers (speed, aura, armor, etc) at once. It is quite useful.

Sith mauraders get fury (increased damage at the expence of Def), weapons masters get increased damage (i think it is the same, but no defence penalties). Bot mauraders and meapon masters get improved weapon specialization and reduced damage taken.

Jedi masters get inspire followers, sith lords get crush opposition. I am not sure if that is all.

Assassins and watchman get increased sneak attack damage (i think).

There are probably more that I am forgetting, but if no one else knows them, let me know and I will look it up for you.

  2. Nice list .. now it would be cool if someone would add one saying where and how you best turn your followers into jedis!  :-"

one quick fix on the list (which was easier to read than my rambling list...) you get Mira/Hanharr on Nar Shaddaa not Telos.

To turn Mira to a Jedi, you have to talk to her a lot after you get back to the Ebon Hawk on Nar Shaddaa. If you progress through the dialog right (if I remember correctly, it was pretty obvious which choices to make), she talks about being able to "hear" Nar Shaddaa. After that take her to where Kreia shows you the Force (in front of the Entertainment Prominade). She should be able to hear the Force and she becomes a Jedi.

I have never played as a female (that is next), so I can't help you with the Disciple, though from what I have read, he is pretty easy (I even read that you can turn him before you leave the library on Dantooine).

I have never gotten Atton to be a Jedi, but I think that is because I never have him in my party, but here is what I have gathered from the internet:

    -agree with his ideas alot

    - On Nar Shaddaa, have him look at the speeder (that you have to repair to get from place to place quickly)

-on Telos, after the Handmaidens ask about his Echini training, ask him about it.

-talk to Kreia about litening to the Force and the second time you will hear him counting Pazaak cards in his head. Ask him about it (you also get a bonus to Will saves!)

-probably other things, but that is all I can remember

    Handmaiden:

Duel with her at every opportunity on the Ebon Hawk. beat her 3 times and she will become more respnsive to talking about herself

After you ask her to put on clothes, ask her about them. Talk with Kreia to learn that handmaiden's mother was a Jedi and if your influence is high enough, handmaiden will talk about her.

  4. HI I've just got KOTOR 2 (so no major spoilers here please)  and am wondering which class is best to start out with considering I to be a DS fighter mainly, not really into the force powers as I didn't like them so much in KOTOR 1.  To upgrade weapons, particularly the lightsaber, it looks lke you might need quite a few skill points in repair, awareness and possibly computer use.

So would a guardain with 14 int. be able to fully upgrade lightsabers, armor etc or would I have to go sentinel?

Obviuosley I'd choose  Sith Marauder later in the game....  yeah ....a bad man

Making upgrades for your lightsaber (lens, emitter, cell) depends on your skill in various areas (ie treat injury, stealth, etc). But any character can make them at workbenches, so if you have a character with high repair, they can make upgrades that you can't. The list of upgrades tells you what skill level you need, then you just need to have a party member with that skill.

  5. You get Atton, T3, and Kreia in the beginning of the game (Peragus II). On Nar Shaddaa (sp?) you get either Mira or Harharr (Mira if you are LS/neutral), wookie if you are DS. Visas Marr joins you when you are 25% LS or 25% DS. Bao Dur joins you on Telos, as does the Handmaiden if you are a male (you get the Diciple on Dantooine if you are female). Mandalore joins you after Duxn/Onderon. And you have to repair HK47 by finding parts throughout the game. G0T0 joins you after Nar Shadaa as well after you destroy his yacht.
