I've started adding in the details for unique weapons (actually I've added precisely one so far: Aamiina's Legacy. There doesn't seem to be a standard template for Abilities/Passives in Deadfire yet so I haven't added pages for the Precision Impact and Precision Impact (Dwarf) yet. I don't want to start my own template in case it sucks and/or there is actually an existing one already.

Also there seems to be a problem with the way the weapon template works in that it doesn't have Attack Time, Recovery Time or Penetration as default options (I added them manually and they seem to work, but I'm not sure if that's how I should have done it).

First of all, THANK YOU. I'll try to make a point of thanking every contributor individually in the future, but I'm only a catman. I get distracted by shiny things. :)

To the point: The Infobox weapon poe2 template was a straight port of the template from poe1, so it has a number of legacy entries and lacks those for the new system, which is my fault. Adding them manually (attack_time, recovery_time, penetration) works perfectly. I'll probably run a cleanup bot once things wind down, but for now, as long as the infobox shows, it shows.

Finally I think it would be good if the pages for each enchantment had an Upgrades subsection listing the ways in which each enchantment can be upgraded (e.g. for Massuk Arrows you'd have Ongitok Angunisag listed). This will probably take longer to be filled in as its not clear in game which enchantment options upgrade which existing enchantments and which are mutually exclusive.

Good point - though I think it would be better to have a separate section in the article text showing the upgrades, as some items, like Eder's armor have four of them (plus, a table is a good deal more flexible). I'll prototype an example tomorrow.

EDIT: as a side note the damage given for Gladiator Sword is its base damage (it doesn't include the bonus from the Fine enchantment). I've continued this trend with all the weapons I've added so far but I'm not sure its the best way of doing things. Thoughts?

My approach is the opposite: Show the weapon's damage after bonuses apply, since each weapon type has an intrinsic base damage that's modified by the bonuses/enchantments. That's the practice for every unique item, especially since my intention is to allow for casually glancing at the infobox and figuring out what the damage is, without having to calculate them by enchantments.

Awwwwesome <3

EDIT2: I noticed that the Gladiator Sword's Fine enchantment links to the page "Fine_(Deadfire)" but, since there are Fine enchantments for weapons, armour and shields this leads to ambiguity so I created a "Fine_weapon_(Deadfire)" page along with equivalent ones for Exceptional, Superb and Legendary (well actually Exceptional and Superb already existed, but I made the capitalisation the same as in game on them). I'd suggest people use these and, at some point, create similar pages for armour and shields.

Yes, that's what should be done - and what I've been doing since realizing that two days ago. Given that the values are different, separate entries for the enchantments make sense. Plus, with {{!}} you can display them as just Fine/Exceptional/Amazing, so :)

All unique Bows and Crossbows have had their basic details added now by the way.

All gunpowder weapons (with the exception of Blighheart) have had their basic details added as well. I want to wait till we have a good template for Soulbounds before doing Blightheart.

For now I'm done. Surprisingly tiring work adding things manually to the Wiki. No doubt there's a clever way to extract the game data directly but I don't know how.

The JSON plugin here seems to work:

https://forums.obsid...amedatabundles/

Of course, I did things the hard way when making the deploy.

Now, imagine doing all of that by hand, just from ingame items. I did that for Tyranny.

Yep, I'm thinking that's probably the more useful way of doing it. I'll modify my entries when I get time.

That's what I've been doing. Same with Inaccurate (there's one for Blunderbusses and one for Arquebuses).

I'll take a look at it. The thought of doing all of them by hand is quite intimidating

I think the main thing people are looking for right now is item locations and item stats -- i.e., what is it and where do we get it.

Just adding in screenshots of the weapon detail screen would be a good start. But the main thing is a sentence saying where to get it.

Well item stats are what I've been adding (pretty slowly) but I'm afraid that, unless "the console" counts as a location I can't add locations until I actually find the item in game.

Added details for Wands, Scepters and Rods as well as Daggers, Battle Axes and Clubs (actually I just edited the club entry a little).

Two things I noticed: the image for Pierce/Slash damage isn't there and the image for Raw damage is currently that of a Wand. Not sure how to change them so I'll leave it to someone more knowledgeable than me.

That's what we're doing, yeah. I've also completed main lists of unique items: Accessories, weapons, armor, pets, etc. and I'm adding to it as I go:

If you find any, just hit the edit button and add them if you can. :)

All single handed weapons done. For some reason the spear Kahua Hozi was on the Cadhu Scalth page (Cadhu Scalth is a large shield) so I created a new page for Kahua Hozi and deleted the contents of Cadhu Scalth so that it'll no longer appear in "Category:Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire spears".

Also the symbols for Crush/Pierce and Slash/Pierce aren't working at the moment.

EDIT: by the way the War Hammer Resounding Call gives its damage as 25-35 in game. This includes the +100% bonus vs. destructibles but most the time, when it matters, you won't be fighting destructibles. As such I listed its damage as 14-20 in the Wiki (same as any other Exceptional War Hammer) and made a note that it is listed as 25-35 in game. The note hasn't formatted properly, though it is readable, so feel free to edit it to make it look nicer.

And I've just finished the two-handed weapons and, hence, all weapons. It would be good if we could add equivalent pages to https://pillarsofete...e_melee_weapons and https://pillarsofete..._ranged_weapons for Deadfire. I don't understand the source for those pages so I can't use it as a template for creating equivalent ones for Deadfire.

Also should we use "/Pillars_of_Eternity_II_Deadfire_unique_melee_weapons" or simply "/Deadfire_unique_melee_weapons" for the url?

Splitting the pages in the long term is good. The ultimate goal is to have an autogenerated Cargo table, rather the fixed one in place, but my concern is to get functional content out first.

Yeah I saw your used cargo in the Pillars page which I assume auto retrieved all appropriate data, but I have no idea how to write one myself.

Perhaps I'll focus on inputting details for armour, shields and various accessories for now.

Awesome. Whenever I find a page filled in, I get a warm fuzzy feeling.

It helps.

Especially when I realized I left the cheats on and now I don't get achievements. Bummer.

There's a mod that allows you to use iroll20s without disabling achievements. I used it to get the broken blade of the endless paths and can confirm I got achievements afterwards.

Question: do you have a guide on how "cargo" works? I've looked it up but can't really understand it and having looked at the source code for the unique weapons pages for PoE1 and the various weapons therein I can't see what's different there that would make them appear and not the Deadfire unique weapons, or indeed how to make an equivalent for Deadfire. This is mostly to sate my appetite to learn, I can hold off making such a page I just don't like that I can't work out how it works.

I just found this thread, and I just want to say thanks to all the users and especially Tagaziel for kickstarting work on the Deadfire wiki!

I've been editing pages as I do my first playthrough, mostly just for the sake of learning how to edit the wiki, apply templates etc. And of course, contributing information on item stats and acquisition information because I think that's what many people will be accessing the wiki to find. Anyway, I just found the Blightheart in-game and gave it to Aloth, so I'm slowly editing the Blightheart page as it grows with Aloth. I used the Soulbound weapon table from the POE1 wiki (Stormcaller to be precise) and basically hid all the entries that I don't have data for. Hope this isn't stepping on anyone's toes, and if I am, please let me know.

Looking forward to contributing more to the wiki!

Looks good Sodalitas. I held off adding Soulbounds because they lacked a template but if the PoE1 one works that's great and I can add the other Soulbounds as well.

Thanks for your work. Also, we really need a interactive abilitie tree available for web, just like the ingame.

I am absolutely stunned by how much work has been done on the wiki already. I've been chipping away at pet locations; just started a new playthrough and I think I might make that my new pet project (pun notwithstanding).

So - is there a way to figure this out at a glance without having a character in your party who has exactly 10 might?

I haven't added to the wiki yet, but I'm keeping a word document of every unique item I come across: the stats, where to find it and what the upgrades are. It's not complete yet since I started doing this roughly 30% into my playthrough and thus am missing quite a bit, but I'm trying to keep it as complete as i can. If someone wants to start entering what i have into the wiki then I could share the file as I have it now.
