It allows one to always have +2 power level at the start of any combat, and the lvl1 spell lasts very long, 30 seconds at base. This actually makes some mage subclasses weaker if they prohibit enchantment school, and makes enchanter the No.1 subclass for multi-class, unless you are not a nature godlike of course XD

Or just don't choose a subclass. The only wizard subclass worth taking is evoker, and even then only if you are going as a single class blaster.

Yeah, wizard subclasses are just awful.  Hope they get rebalanced in a patch, because right now very few players are taking them.  Compare with every other class, where most builds use some subclass or another.

I sincerely agreed with you, don't know how the mage subclasses were designed, they are utterly underpowered, enchanter is good for multiclass simply because its spells are needed and the class has a decent ability.

Nature Godlike is OP!

Which, honestly, is a good thing.  You're giving up hats, so you should get something great.  Shame the other godlikes don't get something similarly decent.

Moon godlike has pretty circlet if you give him a good haircut!

I think there are some hidden gems that look less favourable on paper than they play. Illusions mirror image sounds weak till you play with it and realise an instant free cast 30 deflect that can last for well over a minute of combat time is actually pretty neat for a low hp caster.

I still think the +powerlevel for specialising wizard should be higher like 2 or 3 levels to compensate properly for the school lockouts.

I am currently playing a Lifegiver Nature Godlike Druid. Shapeshift, cast Nature's Vigor or Nature's Balm on yourself with the shifted Lifegiver boost, then do whatever you want with Wellspring of Life active. Maybe not as good as some other Nature Godlike classes, but I'm certainly having a blast with it!

Right, but that spell only takes 0.4 sec to cast normally, and in exchange you give up some really good spells. Wizards are one of the only classes in the game that can effectively stack armor enough to mitigate damage, but they need enchantment spells to do so. Also, over penetration is a bigger damage multiplier than crit is, so it is more important to avoid.

Also, at least on POTD, 30 deflection might reduce the number of crits you get hit by, but it's not enough to keep you from being hit.

They went from the worst godlike to the best tied with Moon Godlike. The Wellspring of Life is amazing with classes like Barbarian.

i tend to prefer the infuse vital elements and nature godlike combo, that way u atleast get a useful buff

I like it too but its a pain being stuff with no level 2 spells until level 7(If multi) because you only get one cast of level 2 till 7.

Thinking of a Nature Godlike Fury Druid + Wizard. Only problem: Wizard without Subclass or Evoker? Like the idea of a pure power casting class, even if i lost spells lv8 and 9.

What do you think?

Fury plus Evoker?

You know that is a decent idea. Fury's weakness is it lack of options to proc the nature buff. Evoker's weakness is if you use infuse you are stuck without a level 2 till 7 (with multi) and lack of spell variety.

You would get heaps of spells with lots of different damage types.

Going on the to do list.

Do you know how to proc easily the racial buff with other clases as Cipher?

Monk, Barbarian, Fighter, Priest, Druid (except Fury), Wizard (except Transmuter, Illusionist).

Fury + Evoker, yes. :-)

Downside: no lv8 and 9 spells cause of Multiclass. 2 forbidden schools. So no chill fog. And i like this spell...

Dont know, if elf is the better choice for this combo. Or to choose Nature Godlike, but Wizard without Subclass....

Level 8 and 9 spells are nice but you shouldn't build around them. Just like how multi class characters shouldn't build around tier 7.

Basically the game sorta speeds you to level 7 then slows right down. You will spend the vast majority of the game between 7 and 17.

Ah, okay. What do you think: evoker worth it? Or is loosing the two schools a to big downside?

Evoker is a pretty limited one trick. The one trick being using empowered to boost the numbers of missiles (1 per 2 PL) to do good burst damage.

The advantage of going with Fury is that if your initial barrage does is not enough you can follow up with other spells.

I do think the combo should seriously be tried.

Heh. My level 3 evoker landed a 150 crit with the level 1 spell Fan of Flames. Got the racial bonus from my priest's Holy Power, used that amulet you can find that improves your power level, and then empowered a Fan of Flames. It critted something for 150 and hit the rest of the enemies for like 80-90ish. Probably about 400 damage total in a single level 1 spell. This was at a point in time where my other damage-dealers had accumulated a total of like 5k damage, so it was kind of amusing.

I'd say evoker has merit outside of empowered spells, it's just that you give up so much utility. You should only run an evoker if you have the control taken care of, say by a skald who spams paralyze all day. If your wizard is just there to do damage and nothing else, the evoker is top tier for the job. It just doesn't function the way a traditional wizard did in PoE1 with all sorts of crowd control. It's pure damage, but it can be top tier for that even if you only use empower reasonably.

The Sorceror can do something similiar except maybe 140 instead of 150. But now you got a bit of variety.

With 22 base dex you can fly though spells.

Wizards can also have issues with elemental immunities (especially fire). Druid with very good raw and lightning damage helps offset against that.
