Turns out that if you still have the Fig edition, you ought to go to www.gog.com/account/refresh, and that should update the game to its downloadable state. At least, it worked for me. I had a default directory in drive c: selected (smallish SSD drive), so when i changed the default install directory in GOG to another drive i was able to start install/download. Bit strange, since you can change install directory after hitting the install button. You might have another problem, but maybe it helps.
