Not saying it's a bad thing, just saying that it doesn't look like Rage to me... at all. :>

Well, it's again that time of the year, kids: Let's beat Lexx after school.

Watch out though, he might have Skazz with him as support.

Free DLC incomming to Deadfire next week. With new companion and loads of Rum :D

Don't have links atm. But google-fu might help you to find info about it :)

Oh no. I want to replay the game, but this kind of stuff makes me just delay everything and then I will lose motivation.

@Agiel, That's the one, without the name I couldn't conjure a single search field to find it. Hopefully others are finding their way to it.

You'd lose five bucks AND would have to pay a vet patching up your crippled dog. That barely seems worth the hassle. ;)

Man, I never knew that the creative director of Metro: Exodus used to be the lead designer of Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. <- Great article by Eurogamer.net

Here's the official statement from 4A Games and Deep Silver:

"The development of Metro Exodus is progressing well; we are all really excited by what we are seeing. We have been constantly reviewing the games progress to ensure that we deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve, as well as keeping an eye on announcements from our competitor products. We want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best and therefore we have taken the decision to move the release date to Q1 2019.

"We know that this will be disappointing news for fans that had hoped to play the game this year, but also know that you will appreciate the results that this additional development time and new release date will bring. We would also like to take this opportunity to confirm that at E3 in June we will be revealing some brand new gameplay from a never before seen game environment for you to enjoy."

It seems Steam is threatening to remove visual novels with nudity from the platform for pornography thanks to the me too movement.

I wonder if the big league developers will face similar treatment as Indie devs.

TW3 and GTAV will get a pass. I do think there is a difference between a game that sells itself as a sex product and one that just depicts adult content in a sensibly contextualized manner. Some products their primary outward branding is a school girl in heat with the camera. Some people don't want that plastered all over and that's understandable.

Games that are primarily sex products are better tucked away in an opt-in adult section. Not sure why Steam doesn't just implement something like that.

No Man's Sky is finally getting a multiplayer update across all platforms...and an Xbone release!

I am glad that Hello Games decided to support the game this long.

Also, this box art looks pretty nifty:

Actually they do have something like that. Steam have a warning and age verification for every game that is for adults.
The kicker is that according to the targeted companies they worked weeks with Valve team to ensure the games are 100% in line with Steam guides. Targeted games were in store for quite some time and people paid for them.

Blatand virtue signaling asside I think Steam faces a crossroad here. If thwy remove the game without compensation to the customers it could mean a huge hit, because both gamers and publishers would fear their games can be treated in the same manner at any time.

Imperator: Rome is the next grand strategy game from Paradox

A DLC is said to be planned for each and every one of the tribes present in the period, as well as several dozen "cosmetic" and music addons.

*shrug*
The grand strategy games Paradox sells are effectively board games (albeit extremely complex) - might as well keep up a similar monetization scheme.

As a MTG (aka "cardboard crack") player, I'm not fundamentally opposed to the concept of ongoing monetization and expansions. It's mostly just the low effort, piecemeal, crap value DLC approach that I was deriding with that completely made-up remark.

That's what I said when I said "board game [snip] monetization scheme" :-P
