Hi All,

I just ordered Tobii eye tracking hardware to try with Kingdom Come, and cannot help to think how cool it could be in Pillars 2 or even in Pillars in a late patch!!

Ok, mabye Pillars one combat would be a mess with it, but it would be great to look at all the interact-able things and see the pop-ups without scanning the screen with the mouse or tab. It could free up the gamer to check and admire the details of the world.

I know this system fits better to 1st person view, but I think it could improve the gaming experience a lot after some tuning.

What do you think?

Honestly I don't think PoE or any game adjacent to the IE genre is a good fit for eye tracking - too much precision clicking.

However I don't have any experience with the technology, so I would be interested in learning how precise it is.

No.  Eye tracking is useless in an isometric game, plus in order for them to even do that they would require additional funding for something that for all you know might just break the game or cause more bugs (be honest and tell me how many isometric games with eye tracking you saw so far).

I'm up for this.

It'll be much useless for targeting at gaze, as using the mouse if much more accurate and very convenient.

However, being as a regular Tobii Eye Tracker user, I would say the Extended View (using eye movement to move the map), Clean UI (auto-hide the UI when the eyes are not gazing at them) and Interact with Eye Gaze (for example, gazing at a character portrait and press Ctrl would bring up the menu without the need to click on the portrait; gazing and press shift would bring up their character page) would be helpful.

Ugh, no. Spare me from pointless tech 'improvements' that are worse than current devices in all possible ways.

If a developer wastes time and money on implementing that kind of crap, the game isn't going to be worth buying in the first place.

It's like the local McDonald's putting in kiosks to spare customers from the convenience of ordering and paying at a register, only to have them have to go to the registers to pay anyway. Two lines, more waiting, and now with folks milling about between the two confused.

Hey! They added full VO which nobody here saw coming, maybe they'll add eye-tracking too :p

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...
