For Beta Players: Is the game optimised well?

Recommended Posts

I am currently living abroad. Before I left the country, I bought a smaller laptop and left my old one in a storage unit. I won't see it again until August. My new laptop is not all that powerful.

Will the new game run smoothly on a laptop that runs the first game? I am installing that now to see how it works.

The beta won't play smoothly even on machine way beyond needed specs. The game right now is unoptimized and while it got much better between beta 1&2 it's nowhere near where it needs to be for launch. One of the reasons I am not playing beta too much. The framerate is just not reliable enough for me to enjoy it. For reference here is my laptop I am using:

Intel® Core i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2594 MHz

RAM: 8GB

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M, 4BG

According to Josh, optimizations are in the works.

Sorry, folks. I am an idiot and know next to nothing about game development.

They said Deadfire's gonna play as Pillars 1. Hope this is still the case.

Well, that fills me with hope. I'll start work on a degree in August. I hope to be able to play it during the summer. *facepalm* Why did I not leave me other laptop at my mum's house!?
