2. Check out your character portraits in the bottom left half of the screen.
3. Observe that next to the first, third, and fourth portraits the icons of specific items are shown even though hovering your mouse over them shows no effect:
The pendant one shows up thrice to boot.
The icons seem to disappear if you unequip and re-equip the items.
