Q&A Stream with Josh Sawyer & Brian Heins

Recommended Posts

Hmh. Since Brians Heins is working on Deadfire does that mean that Tyranny is done and the team is doing something else or did someone else take the Game Director role from Heins? :)

I haven't seen any evidence that he worked on the Tyranny DLC either. He may have left Tyranny a while ago already.

Or maybe he'll be beck after Deadfire is out. It's not that far away.

Anyway, where's my transcript? Am I gonna have to create a Reddit account myself

Zen, no stress and patience ;)

Ah, this caught me off guard. Are these going back to being weekly?

I'll get started, but it's going to take 7-10 hours.

Since his reply is 3h old, the raw ETA is 4-7 hours.

Aaaanyway... for some stragne reason this Q&A felt shorter than the rest even though it was the usual 1 hour. Weird... :skeptical:

I think it might be because there was no “preselected questions from twitter” section. Those tended to be the more condensed, informative parts of streams.

The highlight of these lately has been seeing Gromnir participating in a Twitch stream.  Something about that just amuses me, given the persona that he's been maintaining here and elsewhere for the better part of 2 decades.

I somehow suspect that I'm not alone in my amusement-- Josh has name-checked him both times he's answered the questions.

(Also, you know, he's asked good questions.)

You know, I had an argument with him on the old old Bioware boards, before the BSN, I have no idea about what, but I still kind of hold a stupid grudge for no real reason. I know that afterward I was annoyed they put him in Throne of Bhaal.

Say whaaat?

Didn’t know I am participating in discussions here with such a fine and recognised crowd. I knew that the name sounded familiar, but never came to my mind that the inspiration went other way around.

Yeah, his forum persona predated the character.

Someone asked a similar question about Gromnir a couple years back.

There actually is a kind of explanation given by Gromnir himself on this very forum, but it is too much of a hassle for me to search for it.

Long story short: Gromnir was around the original BioWare message boards 17 years ago and the devs named a character after him.

It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air...
