I got a big curved 21:9 screen.  And it looks stunning for both PoE and Deadfire. I wouldn't recommend getting one yet thou. Mine was an impulse buy, and I hadn't read about it. Most things aren't optimized for it.

Same for me.

21:9 change my life... finally, you see...

Now, all games are (mostly) supporting this format (except for some cinematics or menu).

Pillars run well in 21:9 (except some issue in menu or loading screens)

Deadfire will support 21:9 (confirmed in beta forums by the team).

Hey Friends, since we're talking about this...

I was thinking about 21:9 for about a year & a half now, but couldn't make a choice yet.

May I ask if you did go for an Ultrawide 1080p or 1440p ? With what kind of Graphic Card, all that stuff.

Still got my GTX 970 4GB on board...

I love gaming, but I'm also the music producer for my band, I do the Recording/Mastering & all these things so I need the most Real Estate I can get.

(real estate isn't the right word I think, I mean the most "Working Space" if that's clearer).

And you know, when I say "gaming", I'm on Obsidian's Forum for a reason... I love the kind of games they make, Deadfire style, Tyranny, Baldur's Gate...

Small Gaming Requirements basically.

If you did go for the 1080p height : Is there something you regret & makes you think "hmm I should have gone for the 1440p height" or even higher ? Or vice-versa ?

I'm curious, my monitor died recently so I'm about to make a choice real soon... I'd take any advice.

EDIT : I confirm, they said Deafire will fully support this Aspect Ratio, so I'm definitely going to buy one.

I had no performance problems with PoE or PoE2 on 3440x1440 using GeForce 770. DA:I on the other hand....

It is mostly supported. On level-up screen there is a huge black area at the right side. I suppose it will be fixed before release.

I run a 1080TI with 1080p ultrawide.  It all depends on what kind of frame rates you want.  I aim for 100FPS or better.

PoE doesn't get any higher than 100, and it frequently drops to 60 or less.

I don't think I need that much, I'm not into fast paced Competitve Games at all.

As for now, I'm leaning towards : https://goo.gl/Mgbfjo

You might think 34" is overkill, but because I'm into Music Production aswell, I really need "that much" space. [Maybe you know if you've ever been in the situation]

If I'd go below that, say 29", the Screen would still be larger due to its Ultrawide nature, but almost "smaller" in space/height than my 24". [16:9 Aspect Ratio]

So yeah 34" in the Minimum, this one is quite affordable, & is said to be good in "many" Applications. [Gaming, Productivity, Etc]

Maybe a Developper passing by can share his opinion, I'm sure many of them, [Especially in this industry], have replaced their old 27" - 16:9 Monitors a long time ago when 21:9 became a reliable thing.

Never heard of that monitor.  Try posting in Reddit's Ultrawide Master Race sub, they might be able to give you more information.
