What are you playing right now?

Playing The Saboteur. Just got to the open world part I think, seems fun enough to be worth the $7 so far

Still salty that they never patched the PC version, which made it unplayable as far as I'm concerned (map and the overlay had different resolutions, making the map useless for all intents an purposes, only "solution" is to lower the game's resolution).

I hear the Gog version was fixed, don't intend to re-buy a game because the devs/publisher were too lazy to fix my box copy though.

And the GOG version still has restrictions on how many cores your processor can have- I presume that turning cores off allows it to run (and that's easy enough with Ryzen, if you can be bothered) but the GOG version is certainly just improved, not fully fixed.

Uh, apparently I just finished the new Wolfenstein game. It was... really short. Thought it would be about the american revolution, but in fact it is not. It's just "how it started" ... so pretty much a setup for either more DLC or another game. Lame.

Have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand it was fun (for the most time), the characters are likeable again, the cutscenes are very well done, the voice acting is super (the german cast is pretty much perfect at all times)... on the other hand, the whole beginning part was tedious, you're dying all the time out of nowhere because you can't focus on the HUD, the weapon selection feels kinda limited, and you're pretty much doing the same over and over again...

They made a kinda big deal out of the KKK before release, but you never really interact with them at all. There's a short ingame scene with two guys and that's pretty much it. Eh... I really expected something more.

I don't feel motivated to replay the maps to take out "Uberkommandanten" and pick up collectibles...

The Old Blood was the best one so far, imo.

That's disappointing.  So I take it it's shorter than the last full game?

To be honest, it feels shorter than The Old Blood, even. I sure as hell did not rush through it.. the game just kinda guided me that way. You die really fast, and so do the enemies. Even the big ones that meant serious trouble in the old games... They are taken down in seconds now. Hell, even the huge super robot thingies go down in half a minute. Just had to use the assault rifle... mostly didn't used anything else at all.

Difficulty felt borked to me since beginning of the game. Some scenes are crazy hard because you die so fast, while other scenes are super easy and you just steam-roll through them... Just stay in motion, don't use heavy weapons (they are too slow and not worth it) and you're good to go.

I mean, it still is a kinda fun game, otherwise I wouldn't have continued playing it. I'm just disappointed with it being so short.

/Edit: Oh, I hate how you have to hammer the E-key all the time to pick up items. Hated it already in the other games.

Was just complaining to myself about that, well that's a shame. But I've endured worse to completion :p

Wasn't Old blood just a rehashed Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

No, it's a whole lot better than The New Order. Better guns, better narrative, an awesome ending...

As for 'The New Colossus': I'll buy it when the ultimate edition is out.

Back to DDO after I was able to fix some of the issues. Still having some random slowdowns and disconnects but nowhere near as bad as before.

My Drowlock is level 9 (like rank 44 or so). I think I'll start looking for a guild or just a group to play with as it's getting more expensive to buy rogue hirelings for all the traps and locks.

While I'm waiting for the PC release of Nioh, I'm playing Darkest Dungeon, doing some cursed root chalice runs in Bloodborne and trying to get into Sunless Sea.

Oh, and I finished Shadows of Mordor. What an awful game.

I am alternating between Mortal Kombat X grind (for last Trophy before platinum), Project CARS 1 (where I need 2 more gold accolades to get the platinum) and Final Fantasy Type-0.

Type-0 is actually very interesting concept of a game, but I hate the action combat :( It is kind of overworld map running with FFVII-Crisis Core style missions, and with some added missions, where you are helping your armies to fight against enemy armies in bigger scale conflicts.

Though combat is worse than what I remember from Crisis Core :/ Not looking forward to FFXV, which I have still avoided like a plague, because of the silly shift to gaming as a service model being tested on that game :/

Type-0 was a solid portable game but I don't feel that it translates to a good console game.
