Hell yeah! New Metro game!

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

Alright, the first game reveal that actually got me excited:

Metro Exodus

I mean, it's not S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but it will have to do.  :p

Edit: As an aside, X Box 1 X is a horrible name.  I'm talking Wii U level terrible.  Who comes up with these names and how do they still have a job?

Edit 2: Also, what the **** is Mixer?

I agree with everyone on youtube that the new AC os coser to Dragons Dogma than Assassins Creed but that's a good thing. Looks legit so far

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

The further Assassin's Creed gets from Assassin's Creed the better.   :p

I mean that's why I liked Black Flag so much, it was the least AssCreed AssCreed game to date.

Agreed.

Life Is Strange 2 looks phenomenonal. Glad it's a prequel about Chloe and Rachel. Chloe as main protagonist <3

So, Anthem is basically Destiny.

Edit: Microsoft's presentation was definitely better than the soul crushing dumpster fire that was EA's presentation, not that that's a surprise.  For me I got excited for Metro, everything else was stuff already present on other platforms (mainly PC) or stuff I didn't much care about.

Anthem reveal was seriously impressive, but I've seen enough games that try to sell that style of game and they never turn out like that. Destiny, The Division. Even bespoke single player open world RPGs don't have that sort of super dense perfectly dynamic set pieces. Not to mention this game has to be 2 years out still.

Also, I really dislike this sort of "demoing in-game chat / player role-playing / pseudo-VO" that is used for these types of games. It makes the whole gameplay loop feel very forced. Why not just let your game either be gamey, or show off proper narrative work. Instead of having to pipe it in from a would be player. The game won't come with a soothsaying roleplaying girl to squad up with.

Would be something if Bethesda announced a "Fallout: New ___" game made by Obsidian in their upcoming press briefing. Whatever Obsidian was working on it must be something special if it managed to lure Leonard Boyarsky from Blizzard.

Assassin's Creed looks pretty interesting but the whole 4 edition thing including a full game and season pass valued at at least $100 will make the wait easier till a complete edition of huge sale later in. Tired if these Deluxe/Gold/whatever editions from Ubisoft.

Notably no applause when Bethesda announced the return of paid mods.

Well that was pretty boring so far. All of these games look pretty good from a graphic point of view, but otherwise none of them interest me at all. Life is Strange 2 is the only title I'd buy.
