I think if the game ends up having too many different art styles in it the end result would get rather disjointed. I would also suggest to make the dialogue background to be same kind of parchment as in scripted interactions. In the current information there is 2D/3D gameplay art style, high quality portraits art style, watercolor portraits, and UI like dialogue background. That's simply too many.
