"the way we look at stretch goals, we ask self to consider if the goal were the final goal for the campaign, and the goal were not attained, how bad would we feel."

ideally, every stretch goal should makes us feel significantly diminished and disappointed if there were a failure to fund... which would be a hell of a stretch goal:

at $2.6 million, all further stretch goals will make you consider self immolation if they fail to fund.

HA! Good Fun!

I certainly hope so!. The first was only around 3.9M. To me, PoE is really a great franchise and it certainly deserves more. Kinda suxs to see some exploding kittens card game made more than 5M and such a masterpiece to a successor of Baldur's Gate isn't holding up.

And no.. i was wrong.. exploding kittens funded 8M+. What has the world gone to. If i have to play a card game, i go for Magic The Gathering.

I can see that you are an extremely sophisticated and intelligent person.

Anyway, exploding kittens got a lot more money because you don't need computer, console, or an extremely niche taste in games to play it. Generally, the bigger the potential audience, the more backers.

New classes plz !

Had the same thought :)

- Bard? (he would require some unique mechanic, to not interfere with Chanter)

- Warlock? (haven't seen much demons; but I guess he could be focused on damage over time spells and drain-tanking)

- Necromancer? (lots of skeletons and vessels out there, but would require quite lot of unique spells besides Raise Dead)

But what else could there be?

Necromancer can be cool.

Chanter has this power for exploding the dead, after all.

This dark aspect of Pillars of eternity can match with the "necromancer" like diablo 2.

If not a "Pirate" class ?

Specialist of ranged weapon + explosion (like a barbarian effect). A ranger more powerful and ranged but without pet and not specifically focus on accuracy.

These are good examples for potential Subclasses (except for the Warlock maybe). Just sayin'.

Subclasses could cover nearly any of these concepts. Chanter Subclass could be Bard, Wizard subclasses could be Warlock or Necromancer. Then with Multiclassing you could cobble a couple of classes together to make anything that is missing.

We have all our classes. 11 (classes) x 3 (2 subclasses + base class) = 33. Now, how many Multiclassing options will you have? More than enough to probably make any archetype that you can think of. I'm also a bard player, and as long as they fix how long it takes for phrases to build up... I'm fine with Chanters.

Guys, if the voiceover system will be similar to PoE1, such as:

Pillars-of-Eternity-Conversation-Tone.pn

but only white, quoted text gets read, then it's a terrible, confusing method and at least please give an option to turn off voiceovers altogether.

Either the narrator reads EVERYTHING written on the screen, or nothing.

They already fixed this problem in the White March and Tyranny.
