Origin Of Your Name And Avatar

Mr. Teatime

Recommended Posts

Origin of name: Mr. Teatime is from a Terry Pratchett book (comic fantasy), he was a mad assassin who devised plans to kill mythical figures such as Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, and Death. I thought the name, and the background, was pretty interesting and wierd.

Ha, I did wonder if that's where it came from :D

Mine's from mythology, Calliope's a muse. My avatar..uh, one of many avatars I cycle between, picked this one because it was already square so it'd look better at 64x64. It's of a mutant nurse from Soultaker :)

Sorry, but your username is Pirotess. None of this silly Calliope business.

There are no doors in Jefferson that are "special game locked" doors. There are no characters in that game that you can kill that will result in the game ending prematurely.

The buckethead episode was probably the most amusing one on the old BIS boards. And I still don't know what exploit you and LD used.

Your sig is to long. To damn long and green.

My sig is from twin peaks B)

Green is so nice though ...

Aw, I liked your signature. It was a good colour and a good length.

Change it back? ;)

Well it is still green ... but more of a hunter as opposed to the neon ... but thanks :D

My nick goes way back to my Freshman year of college. When we first moved in, the RAs had signs on all the door with our names. Months later, when we figured that just about anyone who we'd want to see would know our names already, my roommate hung a sign on our door that read "Garth and Enoch" (not even close to our real names). He offered me first choice and I decided to be Enoch. Later, I used it as a character name when I played BG1.

The avatar is part of a series of photos of jazz musicians I've been using. The current cover-boy is Sun Ra.

I'm dissappointed, I thought you were named after the man who later became the Metatron, in apocryphal lore.

I don't know the Apocrypha very well (and by that I mean I know nothing beyond the fact that some books exist that various councils left out of the canon), but there were a couple of OT Enochs, the first being the son of Cain (Genesis 4:17).

That's about as deep as I go, theologically. I strongly prefer the more reason-based morality systems.

The Name: I use to be a console gamer and thus I played console RPGs, Japanese in origin. There was a game called Chrono Trigger which showcased a character named Frog. A knights lacky turned amphibian by a dark magician on a quest for vengeance for the death of that same knight by that same dark magician. Anyway a long story short, by 95' I was getting into PC gaming with RTS games like C&C, and when Baldur's Gate came out I took a prolonged hiatus from consoles. Suffice to say I never really went back. A rogue in a way, and since I originally used Frog as my alias, I changed it to roguefrog.

The Avatar: I drew up a pic of Frog with a hood, gave it some ink, lighting, and a lens flare, and there you see it now.

Ender Wiggin is the name of a character in Orson Scott Card's excellent novel, Ender's Game.

I usually use EnderAndrew on boards. I switch avatars all the time. Not as much on this board because of the size limitations. This avatar is a cross-reference to Homestar Runner and Sluggy Freelance.

My favorite character from Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting and its fine sequel Porno. Mr. Simon David Williamson. I added the cp 'cuz the college I was at when I first read 'Trainspotting' had the initials YCP.

I couldn't find any good pics of Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy so I had to use Ewan MacGregor emerging from 'the worst toilet in Scotland' as my avatar.

Heh...probably says something about me that my favorite literary character is a Scottish heroin and cocaine addict and petty criminal.

Name's my pen name, don't remember what it meant when I came up with it, most likely nothing, though now that I look at it you could read it as wiser Cain, which would make me a murderer smart enough not to be caught by god(so say the voices in my head).

Avatar is the super quick drawing I did for Juhani that lead me to model her a new sleek turkey body. I'll probably change it to Juhani in 3D once I get around to doing it.

Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (
