Kyra Exorcist Heal bug

General (For all issues)

 

OS: Android 6.0.1

Phone: Galaxy s6

Gameplay

  • Is pass & play on?  Is permadeath on? No and No
  • Tutorial, Story Mode, or Quest Mode? Story
  • Characters in Party: Seelah, Merisiel, Ezren, Kyra
  • Location of each character: cant remember, Kyra is in Treacherous Cave
  • Turn Order:Seelah, Merisiel, Ezren, Kyra
  • Scenario & Scenario Difficulty: Fortress of the Stone Giants on Heroic, I cant remember the wild card.
  • What card was encountered when the issue occurred? Headless Lord
  • Did the issue occur on the first explore or a subsequent explore?  If subsequent, what card did you last encounter?  What was its resolution? First Explore, succeeded check
  • Did other characters aid the check?  What did they use to aid it? Yes, I blessings from Seelah and Merisiel I think
  • Was the encounter a Horde? no

What is happening is I defeated the headless lord with Kyra and attempted to use her Exorcist power to heal, it just froze after that and each time I go back into the game it gives me the option to heal or continue again and when I select one the game freezes again, I cant even select the menu to forfeit so I am stuck. I haven't tried on any other device.

  • What card was encountered when the issue occurred? Villian of the Scenario
  • Did the issue occur on the first explore or a subsequent explore?  If subsequent, what card did you last encounter?  What was its resolution? Second explore, Boon, but can't remember.
  • Did other characters aid the check?  What did they use to aid it? No
  • Was the encounter a Horde? no

Same situation as with @nikk2009. I encountered the villian and used Holy Light + Blessing of Sarenrae to defeat the villian. The other three characters were at different locations. I think Mountain Pass & City Gate were the two locations undefended. The other three had a character each at them, based on character strength. I recharged the Blessing with Kyra's power, was presented the option to Continue or Heal, once clicking, box goes away, but game stops and doesn't move, regardless of choice.

Just got this on last level of Stone Giants... thought it might have been some weirdness with the runeslaves being undead for this quest only.

 

Unfortunately I have no idea how to get out of this now, I can't hit the abort button. Deleting the party in story mode seems extreme... Any ideas?

Characters in Party - Valeros, Ezren, Lem, Merisiel, Harsk, and Kyra

 

Location of each character - Kyra/Glassworks. I don't remember the rest. The game has been locked up for a day or so.

 

Turn Order -Valeros, Ezren, Lem, Merisiel, Harsk, Kyra

 

Scenario & Scenario Difficulty. If on non-normal difficulties, which wildcard powers are in play? Scenario 1.3/Green Skull difficulty (I don't remember what that one is called or what Wildcard powers are active, and the game is locked up, so I can't check)

 

What card was encountered when the issue occurred? Ancient Skeleton summoned by a Skeleton Horde encountered on Harsk

 

Did the issue occur on the first explore or a subsequent explore? If subsequent, what card did you last encounter? What was its resolution? Subsequent explore, don't remember the last card encountered

 

Did other characters aid the check? What did they use to aid it? No

 

Was the encounter a Horde? Yes, Skeleton Horde

 

I encountered the Horde with all six characters, resolving each in turn. Kyra was my final combat, which resolved successfully. I attempted to use her Exorcist Heal, and after selecting "Heal", the buttons went away, no card was healed, and the blue "move forward" button disappeared. Similar issues in the past have been resolved by force-closing the client and logging back in, which I did, and now the game is stuck in that place. I can't bring the menu up to forfeit the session, as none of the screen buttons work. They depress when I touch them, as if they recognize being pushed, but no action occurs. Hope this helps! I really love this game, and want it to work well!

I have the same situation happening with Kyra.  

 

I have an iPad mini, so it's not tablet specific I think.

 

The difference with mine is that it happened in Quest mode and not Story mode.  Every time I click on Quest, it loads to the same spot where it locks up after you choose continue or heal after defeating an undead creature.  I reported it in the following topic as well.  There were suggestions on how to get around the bug in Story mode, but I can't seem to find a workaround for the Quest mode version of the bug.

1st of all...

Can you delete and download the game again without losing your purchases or game information? Or will they be lost?

 

General information for bug

When encountering a ghoul and killing it Kyra's undead ability pinged to heal one card, no matter what you select at this point the game is locked up and since this is in quest mode I can no longer do anything in quest mode

...What was the bug? Your topic says it has to do with Kyra's Heal ability. But it happened when you encountered a Ghoul? What happened exactly?

It locked up the game where I cannot quit or forfeit when I use her heal ability and since it's quest mode there is no way to start a new one.

(there are a few threads on this for story mode but wanted to put one up for quest mode)

Very much the same problem here. Playing the first stone giant scenario with Valeros and Kyra on normal. Kyra encountered and defeated a ghoul, which triggered the heal ability. Now no matter which option I choose (heal or continue) the game crashes.

The only way to move forward appears to be to delete your game.sav file. This will execute a "terminate with extreme prejudice" on your Scenario, so it will be as though you had never started that Scenario. It will also (IIRC) disband that party.

Did you delete the game.sav file in SLOT99? If you did, then you may have fallen foul of the Cloud Save/Sync saving your game and syncing it back when you log on. I know that I've worked around this in the past, but I can't remember how (though I think that I launched the game and deleted the game.sav then closed the game - only likely to be possible on Android. If anybody has a better approach to ensuring that the game.sav is deleted from both local and Cloud storage, that would be awesome)

Same issue here. Will the patch fix a stuck game or do we need to delete it?

 

I'm on an iPad2 in story mode. Shame too, it is the only party I have with all the scenarios on all levels completed. :(

The fix will allow you to continue play (as the buttons will work)

So sorry guys this is a bug with Kyra's power Purge Undead, either option will break progression. This has been fixed and will go out in a patch.

Any idea when that patch is going out?  Given the frequency of undead characters, this kinda makes the game unplayable if you have Kyra in your group
