And so everything written about him, his supposed nationalist agenda and acts against Albanians/Croats/muslims falls apart as even the western kangaroo court finds him innocent of it all, albeit burying the verdict in the details of another trial.

The whole war against Serbia was a set up, just like the invasion of Haiti. Democrats like to help our enemies for some reason.

Both do actually.

Eh, he definitely had a nationalist agenda and a lot of bad stuff went down during the wars. Problem was always that other people's (primarily Tudjman's, but to an extent Izetbegovic) nationalist agendas and bad stuff were conveniently ignored- to actively supported- by those who condemned Milosevic.

In any case, after the Op Storm verdict the ICTY had lost what few scraps of credibility or impartiality it ever may have had. 250k Serbs spontaneously left Croatia during it but that was complete coincidence, honest guv! Kosovo being the 2nd largest source of refugees in Europe- just behind Syria- is simply the stinky brown dollop crowning the utter craptacular mess the international community has made of Yugoslavia.

Numerous Serbs were and are guilty for war crimes, its a historical fact

You can dismiss the ICTY as a Western kangaroo court and you can see it as illegitimate yet this is obviously not the view most of Serbia shares as Serbia is still trying to join the EU....which is a Western institution that is aligned to organistions like NATO

War crimes were also committed by Croats and Bosniaks but the majority or war crimes were committed by Serbs and no amount denialism and revisionist history is going to change to that, sorry Drowsy

The ICTY also unequivocally states that the Serbian forces were guilty of ethnic cleansing and war crimes in multiple cases. They just didn't find that Milosevic personally approved of these things even though he knew what was going on.

So, yeah. Good for him.

Svetlana Raznatovic, widow of former Commander Arkan of Arkan Tigers, was one hell of a woman.

You come up with the most random things but they make me laugh

Especially because I remember Arkan, he was one of the most brutal Serb paramilitaries ....he was killed in 1992  before he was sent to the Hague

He was killed in 1992 and they still sent him to the Hague? Harsh!

Although it makes little difference down the line, the possibility of another Clinton in office makes my hair stand on end. And the things she says much of the time make Bill seem meek by comparison.

People slam Trump for being "combative", but if you look at it closely, Hillary's discourse is much much worse.

Have to wonder if the trial was legal in the first place.

Actually that is looking at it the wrong way round. The "International criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia" was instituted in order to make the interventions and the bombing appear legal and proper post facto. Since the bombing was instigated unilaterally without the approval of the UN security council and lacks a legal precedent it would technically fall under the UN definition of aggression.

Since a legal argument cannot be construed to support the intervention the ICTY was instituted to support and cement the idea that humanitarian concerns gave a "just cause" to the whole operation. In order to achieve that goal it would have to, in essence, make a reality out of what was, for the most part, propaganda.

But as the years passed and evidence to back up the many outrageous claims couldn't be found it is now slowly collapsing in itself while trying to find a "graceful" way out.

Surprising I guess. I mean, I don't think he's innocent of war crimes or knowledge thereof, but I can believe that such was not proven in a court of law.

You could make a very strong case that Hitler was not aware of the Holocaust and that he never gave any direct orders.

I disagree. He was careful only to make insinuations. The whole aperatus of Nazi government was set up to compete with itself, people would interpret his directives differently and use them for their own gain. He did order Commisars shot in the general orders for operation Barbarossa and I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of that sort, just not the Holocaust. He didn't want to put his involvement in that on paper.

There was no written order found. That doesn't mean he didn't give a verbal order to Himmler, it's believed by all sane historians he did. This is what Goebbels wrote in his diary on August 19, 1941, which is the time the murders of Jews increased hugely: "We talked about the Jewish problem. The Fuhrer is convinced that his earlier prophecy in the Reichstag is proving correct, and if the Jews succeed again in provoking another world war it would end with the annihilation of the Jews. This is being proved in these weeks and months with an apparently eerie certainty. In the east the Jews must pay for this..."

The Holocaust took a huge amount of Hitler's desperately needed wartime resources. The Allies knew all about it. To believe that Hitler somehow didn't you'd have to be completely delusional.

That's not what he said at all.  He is talking about proving something in a court of law.  Chillax.
