Black Screen on start

Can anyone please help me. According to Geforce experience, the pillars of eternity setting is 1024x768 which is not the native resolution of my laptop screen. I can't change it to 1920x1080. I've been searching all over the internet and can't find a solution for this problem. I think I'm the only one who experienced this. Help please.

On start-up there's just black screen. No indication of crash or anything. no sound whatsoever. Just black screen.
