- My Merisield displayed Flask of Shock for Barl's first check.
- Barl's power kicked in and he discarded a random card from "my hand" - the card happened to be the 'displayed' Flask of Shock
- the bonus 2d6 from the discarded Flask remained in effect for the second check
- incidentally, this spared Merisiel from banishing the Flask
This seems to be a general issue with 'displayed' cards still counting as part of the player's hand, rather than with Barl himself. I remember a couple of threads that touched on similar issue, so that's what the devs might wanna look into.

You can use the 'Mark Solved' button beneath a post that answers your topic or confirms it's not a bug.
The time that devs don't have to spend on the forum is a time they can spend on fixing the game.
