Lini's dice do not update correctly

Decius

Question

iPad 2, iOS 9.3

Lini is fighting Shadow, not proficient with weapons.

Drag Shock Longbow +1 to 'revealed' area, adds d6(dex)+d8+1 as expected, also adds +4 difficulty as expected.

Drag from revealed to discard pile, adds d4(str) as expected.

Activate Beast Form ability, discard another card. Expected is to have 2d10(str,dex)+d8+1 dice shown. Shown are 1d10+1d8+1d4+1.

Similar presentation of what appears to be the same bug:

Activate and pay for Beast Form, Discard Shock Longbow, press X to clear card choices: An extra d10 remains in the dice pool, apparently permanently.

Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 - software ver. 4.0(24.3.66.43)

Android ver. 6.0

I encountered this when fighting Justice Ironbriar.  Valeros and Lini were in the same location.  Valeros encountered Ironbriar, and I choose Lini to take the random monster encounter.  The monster Bugbear showed up.

1) Lini's base Str is a d4

2) Valeros' Teamwork added his d4

3) I revealed an animal ally (dog or crow, I forget) for Animal Trick for a third d4

4) When I activated Beast Form and discarded a magic half plate, I got the notice that my die was changed, but I was still left with 3d4 for the combat.

Tried canceling everything, and choosing a blessing for Beast Form.  Later I even reset my tablet.  Which, when I loaded the game again, the blessing I discarded for Beast Form was still in my discard with no effect.

This is not, strictly speaking, a bug - I don't know why you expected 2d10 as the Beast Form changes EITHER Dexterity OR Strength to a d10. So in your example, your Dexterity was changed and the result is correct.

However, obviously the more benefitial option for you would be to change your Strength die (so you get 1d6 (Dex) + 1d8+1 (Bow) + 1d10 (Strength, from discarding the Bow). I haven't tried this particular combo, so I don't know if you got a prompt which die do you want to replace  - but if you didn't, now THAT's a bug.

You can use the 'Mark Solved' button beneath a post that answers your topic or confirms it's not a bug.

The time that devs don't have to spend on the forum is a time they can spend on fixing the game.
